Description

Antique French silk ombré ribbon trim in four colorways, as shown. Approximately ⅜ inch wide, sold by the 12-inch piece.

This narrow trim was used to decorate French boudoir furnishings, purses, and fine textiles during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The ombré silk gives a subtle gradation of color characteristic of the Rococo taste for refined ornament.
